School Nurse

Applications are being invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of School Nurse.

Requirements

• Certification as a Registered Nurse or other similar qualification;
• Current nursing license / registration with the NCJ;
• At least one (1) year experience (mental health experience a plus);

Responsibilities

• Provide professional health care to staff and students;
• Develop health plan for students;
• Carry out health assessments and screening;
• Administer medication;
• Complete appropriate reports and ensure accurate records are maintained;
• Maintain inventory of appropriate supplies and equipment;
• Ensure compliance with minimum health laws and requirements;
• Lift up 50lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time.
